Receptionist & Salon/Shop Manager
(Part- Time Position - Start Date: Nov 2025)
ABOUT THE ROLE
Standout Beauty Studio is growing — and we’re looking for a confident, outgoing, and detail-oriented individual to join our team as our Receptionist & Beauty Supply Shop Manager.
This is a dynamic, hands-on role that blends customer service, retail management, content creation, and e-commerce. You’ll be the face of our salon and supply shop — welcoming clients, answering calls, client bookings , supporting our artists, managing orders, and helping grow our beauty supply and academy brands.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Front Desk & Client Experience
Greet all clients and visitors with warmth and professionalism.
Manage client check-ins, phone calls, and appointment scheduling using Square.
Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming salon environment.
Handle light cleaning, tidying, and daily studio upkeep.
Troubleshoot client concerns or service issues with care and confidence.
Retail & Inventory Management
Assist clients and beauty artists with product selection and recommendations.
Learn and understand our professional beauty brands and their uses.
Manage inventory restocks, displays, and product organization.
Pack and fulfill all online orders with precision and care.
Ensure packaging accuracy — double-check every order before shipment.
Prepare student kits for our beauty academy trainings.
Sales & Brand Growth
Conduct outbound sales calls to salons and studios across Canada & the U.S. for wholesale opportunities.
Build and nurture relationships with partner salons.
Promote the Standout Beauty brand with confidence and enthusiasm.
Earn commission on successful wholesale partnerships and product sales.
Marketing & Content Creation
Collaborate with our social media manager to create and film engaging content for the @standout.beautysupply instagram page.
Be comfortable on camera — filming reels, tutorials, and product features.
Post Instagram stories daily featuring new arrivals, restocks, and behind-the-scenes moments.
Engage with followers, respond to DMs, and send welcome messages.
Support email marketing campaigns and product launch communications.
E-Commerce & Admin
Work within Shopify to manage product listings, pricing, and orders.
Assist with customer service inquiries and email communication.
Support basic email marketing and newsletters for the supply shop.
Manage communications between the salon, shop, and academy teams.
Help streamline systems and contribute to business growth projects.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required:
Fluent in English (spoken & written) — confident communicator
Comfortable and Confident on camera
Strong organizational and multitasking skills
Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy
Experience in customer service or retail
Familiarity with Shopify or other e-commerce platforms
Experience with Canva & Instagram
Professional, polished, and proactive
Preferred:
Background as a lash, brow, or beauty artist (asset, not required)
Understanding of lash lift, brow, and beauty industry products
Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g. Flodesk)
Interest in beauty product sales and brand promotion
TRAINING & COMPENSATION
1–2 weeks of hands-on training with our current receptionist (Marilia)
$19 Base hourly wage + commission opportunities for wholesale sales
Flexiblep-time hours within salon operating schedule
Opportunity to grow into a management or marketing role within Standout Beauty
